Katy Perry with flatter stomach, slimmer waist.
The controversy over heavily airbrushing models, singers and starlets who pose for magazine covers has been well debated, yet the practice seems to persist.
Critics, of course, claim airbrushing that slims and removes natural bulges and blemishes sets an impossible standard for normal girls.

Katy Perry photographed in Singapore Aug 3.
Perry claims to have worked out five times a week ahead of her wedding and showed off her new body in a revealing bikini during a news conference in Singapore.
Katy has always been voluptuous, but in the Rolling Stone photos she looks unusually thin.
Her barely there love handles and slight muffin top have also been streamlined, plus the photos have been subjected to the usual procedures of softening and smoothing, with not a blemish in sight, according to London’s Daily Mail.
Perry, 25, has worked out with celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak for the last year and is following his Five Factor Fitness program.
“Her goal is to look amazing always. She’s getting in shape for everything…wedding, music videos, touring, etc.,” Pasternak told gossip site radaronline.

“She works out as often as she can, she’s a busy woman but her goal is five times a week,” he added.
“She eats five small meals a day, each containing healthy fats, lean protein, fiber and a non-sugar drink.
“A typical day’s diet would be an egg white omelet with a bowl of berries, an apple cinnamon smoothie, a chop salad, three-bean BBQ chips and finishing off with a seafood stir fry for dinner,” he explained.
But apparently that wasn’t good enough for the magazine.
