Justin Bieber's First Clash With Law; Here's What Happened

Justin Bieber has had his first run in with the police. No Lindsay Lohan-type behavior here, but state police in Maryland were unamused with the teen singing sensation’s antics before his concert at the state fair.

It seems that Bieber was hanging out his crew and Maryland state troopers before he took the stage at the fair last Sunday. The troopers were there to provide crowd security.

The 16-year-old Bieber performed in front of a sold-out crowd at the Timonium Fairgrounds just outside of Baltimore City. Tickets sold out less than 20 minutes after they were made available, according to local media.

Safety concerns have been an issue at some of Bieber’s appearances, including Sunday’s in Maryland. A number of posts by concertgoers on local television station WBAL-TV’s Facebook page reported that the crowd of tweens was unruly.

One commenter said it “was the most dangerous thing I have ever been a part of.”

Other commenters were critical of the security and staging areas for the concert.

But the problems for Bieber began before the concert.

He was reportedly “horsing around with members of his staff” outside his trailer, and threw two water balloons at two troopers standing nearby.

The troopers were not amused. One balloon hit a trooper’s gun belt before it burst, dousing his weapon with water.

Another balloon sideswiped a trooper on the chest, but did not break.

Police did not file an incident report and plan no further action, but Bieber’s behavior was termed “inappropriate,” according to a police spokesperson.

Could a spanking be in order, or do the state police simply have no sense of humor?
