Charlie Sheen wasted no time seeking to discredit his hot “date,” Capri Anderson, with lawyers for the “Two and a Half Men” star issuing a blistering statement calling her claims “completely false” and a cash grab.
But Anderson, also known as Christina Walsh and Alexis Capri, fired a barrage of her own today (Nov. 22) in an interview on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”
She plans to file a civil complaint against the twice convicted actor in Los Angeles.
Anderson’s lawyer also told GMA that his client will be filing a criminal complaint today (Nov. 22) with the NYPD.
Sheen’s high-powered Hollywood lawyer Yale Galanter countered in the statement that Sheen, 45, was never violent or abusive toward Anderson.
But his attack on Anderson was so strident, Galanter may end up sending the opposite signal. Sheen has a lot to be worried about.
He has a history of abusive behavior toward women, including physical violence.
Sheen reportedly paid Anderson $3,500 for a date, which she described as a paid appearance fee arranged by her agent to attend a dinner party.
The night ended when Sheen was found by police naked, intoxicated and foaming at the mouth in a rage after trashing his Plaza Hotel suite in New York.
“Ms. Capri never made any allegation to the police of any wrongful conduct on the part of Mr. Sheen on the night of the incident and she had every opportunity to do so,” Galanter said in a statement.
“She also posted on her Web site that she was ‘fine’ and if you wanted to see more of her, for a price, one could enter the web site.”
Although Galanter zeroed in on her credibility, claiming “a number of law firms” had refused to represent her. (How would he know that?)
He also said a number of news organizations had refused to report her story for the same reasons. But no less than ABC News and it’s prestigious Nightline program are carrying her interview.
Galanter also let it be known tha Sheen is ready to come out guns blazing in court. “If she pursues legal action, we will defend this vigorously.
“These allegations against Mr. Sheen are completely false, and are a blatant attempt to cash in on his celebrity,” he said.
His ex-wife, Denise Richards, apparently was among Sheen’s entourage for at least part of the night.
After drinking and snorting cocaine, Sheen apparently turned into a bore and a lout.
“He was, from the beginning of the night, very loud and he had no hesitations when it came to using derogatory language or cuss words,” Anderson tells “Nightline,” according to an ABC press release.
During the ABC interview, Anderson, who appeared poised and articulate, described how Sheen went wild.
“I was sitting on the edge of a coffee table, and he was serving us both drinks, and he was snorting something,” she says. “There was a little bit of romance, if you will.”
“He started throwing things. He threw a lamp. That was the first thing he picked up,” she says.
“And he threw it across the room at me.”
After she locked herself in the bathroom, Anderson says Sheen began banging on the door and threatening to kill her.
Sheen also threatened to kill his soon-to-be ex-wife Brooke Mueller and pulled a knife on her.
