Selena Gomez continues to set the trend for Young Hollywood glamour, with a spectacular shoot in, what else, Glamour magazine. Too bad she didn’t make the cover.
Rihanna won cover honors and also showed she can exude sophistication in own spread flowing dresses and evening wear by Marc Jacobs, Yves St Laurent, Dolce & Gabbana and Vionnet.
While Gomez may have been a little overshadowed there’s no question she is staking out the high ground in fashion without giving up her sexy stage presence.
But it hasn’t always been easy for the Disney actress.

“When I was 11 years old, I had a grown woman who was a casting director tell me I was not strong enough to carry the lead in any project,” she tells the magazine.
“Now I’m doing things that I love, and I’m working really hard. I never want to play the victim or anything, but of course everybody deals with it.”
She’s also keeping her relationship with Justin Bieber in perspective.
“I’m 19, so I feel like everything that I’m doing right now should not be taken too seriously.
“I should be able to have fun and enjoy where I’m at! So I don’t want to spend my time hiding or worrying about all of that.”
Gomez recently starred in her first adult movie role in “Monte Carlo” with Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy.
But she took filming in stride with a little help from her co-stars.
“I was nervous and intimidated because they are older and had worked on movies before, but they were the best girls I could have been paired up with! They were so sweet and took me under their wing,” she says.
