Taylor Swift Raps Miley Cyrus on 60 Minutes: Here's Why (video)

Taylor Swift and Mily Cyrus are both country queens, with a little pop thrown in, but the similarities end there. Taylor makes that clear in an upcoming interview with CBS’s “60 Minutes.”

Swift paints herself as the anthesis of the free-spirted former Disney star.

The 21-year-old singer, who was just named “Entertainer of the Year” for the second time by the Country Music Association, is on top of her game, and she believes she is more than just a singer.

Cyrus says she never intended to be a role model, buk Swift actually embraces the concept. That’s why you’ll never seen Swift in barely there outfits or acting out in public, she says.

Well almost.

Despite Swift’s squeaky clean image, she and Miley share one thing in common. Both have been victims of Internet photo scandals.

Last month, a topless photo, purportedly of Swift hit the Internet. Although the resemblence was uncanny, Swift heatedly denied it was her.

Miley has been plagued by similar photo scandals at the hands of hackers, including her own nude photo hoax, last December.

But that’s where the similarities seem to end.

“I definitely think about a million people when I’m getting dressed in the morning and that’s just part of my life now,” Taylor tells the Leslie Stahl on news program, which airs this Sunday (Nov. 20).

And, here’s where she takes a shot at Miley.

“I think it’s my responsibility to know it and to be conscious of it. It would be really easy to say I’m 21 now, I do what I want. You raise your kids!” she continues.

“But it’s not the truth of it. The truth of it is- every singer out there with songs on the radio is raising the next generation.”

Wow, so repsonsible. Now here’s what Miley has to say:

“My job isn’t to tell your kids how to act or how not to act, because I’m still figuring that out for myself.

“So to take that away from me is a bit selfish. Your kids are going to make mistakes whether I do or not. That’s just life,” she told Harper’s Bazaar back in Jan. 2010.

Miley seems to have settled down a bit since she began dating actor Liam Hemsworth again, after breaking off an earlier relationship.

Miley also recently reached out to her some time rival and former Disney colleague Demi Lovato, defending her decision to gain weight after going through rehab.

Miley has also added a few pounds recently, but she says she is reveling in her newfound curves.

Swift wasn’t always the willowy, pretty girl she grew up to be, according to the news program.

At one point in her life, she tells Stahl, she wasn’t as slim as she wanted to be, nor had hair as straight as she would have liked. She also wore glasses.

“Criticism still hurts. I don’t have thick skin. I hate reading criticisms,” she says. “You never really, like, get past things hurting you.”

Miley would surely second those thoughts.
