Uma Thurman, who stars with Robert Pattinson in the period drama “Bel Ami,” is gearing up to promote the film with Rob and Cristina Ricci in Berlin. Uma captures the spirit of the film in a haunting shoot for Vogue Italia.
The film is a marked departure for Pattinson, who has been the hero in the “Twilight” series as vampire Edward Cullen. In “Bel Ami,” he plays a villain!
He stars as Georges Duroy, a down-and-out soldier who claws his way up the ranks of French society in the 1890s by bedding high-society women. Thurman plays one of his conquests along with Ricci and Kristen Scott Thomas.

The film, based on the novel of the same name by Guy de Maupassant, will get its world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival on Feb. 17, and will also debut at the Glasgow Film Festival in Scotland at the same time.
Rob and Uma are already committed to present the film in Berlin, and promotion in Europe is just getting underway. Rob talked about the film recently with The Herald newspaper in Edinburgh.
In her luxurious photo shoot, Thurman poses for photographer Peter Linbergh. The black-and-white images were captured on the streets. Uma looks haunting and sexual in Yves Saint Laurent, Sportmax, Prada, Dior and other brands.
Michael Philouze handled styling, Stephane applied makeup and David Babaii styled her hair. Check out her stunning photos.
