Taylor Swift Spills Beans About Dating Zac Efron (watch!)

Country queen Taylor Swift, whose been involved in more than one movie “locationship,” isn’t about to let rumors get started that she’s involved in another. She quashed the latest boyfriend rumors on Ellen.

Swift, 22, was reportedly seeing “High School Musical” star Zac Efron, 24. They both voiced starring roles in the animated film “Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax.”

But that’s about as far as it went. “He’s awesome; we are not a couple though,” she told the talk show host. “You hear people get together when they’re shooting movies, co-stars. But not like animated co-stars. You know what I’m saying.

“Oh my god, as we were recording out voiceovers on separate coasts, we really connected,” she added wryly.

But they are undeniably a cute couple. Zac and Taylor played guitars and performed a duet on the show.

It’s not like it hasn’t happened before. Swift met “Twilight” star Taylor Lautner on the set of the 2010 movie “Valentine’s Day,” and they briefly dated. Swift abruptly ended the relationship when they finished filming.

Rumors that Swift and Efron were dating appeared to start after they were spotted having a “flirty” dinner last month. They seem to want to be seen because they were at an outdoor corner table at LA celebrity haunt Pace.

One tabloid added fuel to the fire by describing them as being in “deep in conversation and very giggly.” They also arrived together in Efron’s car.

But Swift’s rep said it was far more innocent. “They were in L.A. doing press stuff together, and after they were done, they decided to grab dinner.”

“Taylor thinks Zac’s cute…[but] they are on totally different wavelengths,” another source said. Taylor split from Lautner because she also felt they were too different.
