Korean rapper Psy,, seemed like the perfect by-product of American pop culture. Who knew he hated the “fu*king Yankees.” And he’s not talking about Alex Rodriguez.
He wishes death on the United States! Oh well, it was good while it lasted.
Psy introduced “Gangnam Style,” to the world. The funky mix of rap and ’80s boy band dancing caught fire after one of his music videos hit the social media site. To date, the video has been viewed on YouTube more than 900 million times, surpassing Canadian Justin Bieber’s hit song “Baby.”
Psy’s Ant-American Song, ‘Dear America’
Since the video went viral, Psy’s “Gangnam Style” as well as other songs and videos of his concerts, has grossed nearly $1 million, according to TubeMogul, a video-ad-buying platform. America loved the chubby Korean and we thought he loved us. Not so.
As it turns out, Psy was one of the most outspoken critics of the United States in Iraq and wrote a virulent anti-American song. It goes something like this according to a rough translation. Koreans, by the way, are big on extended families.
Kill those fucking Yankees who have been torturing Iraqi captives
Kill those fucking Yankees who ordered them to torture
Kill their daughters, mothers, daughters-in-law, and fathers
Kill them all slowly and painfully
Yikes! So it’s safe to say America’s love affair with Psy is probably over. You have to admire his social activism. Few American pop stars had the balls to oppose the war.
But really he needs to go… back to North Korea. If he hates the United States so much, he’ll love the most repressive regime in the world.
Incidentally, the North invaded South Korea back in the ’50s. He would be living under Kim Jong-un today if not for U.S. military intervention, sort of like Iraq. So why not send him back?
For one thing, he wouldn’t be so fat, because millions in the country are starving, while Kim carries on the militarization that his father pursued at the expense of basic human needs.
Of course, protesting, of any kind, is hardly tolerated. So, Psy would be wasting away in a gulag right now. Or more likely executed.
