James Franco and Ashley Benson have way too much time on their hands. They goof on Justin Bieber’s hit song “Boyfriend” in a self-made video. Was it a show of support for “Spring Breakers” co-star Selena Gomez?

Gomez, 20, and Bieber, 18, recently split up for what seems like the last time after a rocky relationship over the past year.

Last week was a rough one for Bieber in other ways as well. A photographer, who swore he saw Bieber smoking pot in his $200,000 Ferrari was killed photographing the car at a traffic stop. Bieber pal Christopher Moore, aka rapper Lil Twist, was driving.

The teen singer’s reps trashed the dead paparazzo for allegedly stalking and harassing Bieber. They also insisted he wasn’t smoking pot. But a day later, photos surfaced showing the “Believe” singer hitting a blunt with Moore.

The video is funny enough, but you have to ask what a 34-year-old man is doing hanging out with 20-somethings. Franco and Benson, who is 23, are rumored to be dating.

In the video, Franco does a surprisingly credible, if mocking, impersonation of Bieber, complete with wig, half-cocked baseball cap and hoodie sweatshirt. Ashley plays the floozies from Bieber’s own video for the song.

For his part, Bieber apologized to fans for the pot-smoking incident, and chalked it off to youthful indiscretion. Be sure to follow TheImproper for the latest Justin Bieber updates.
