Miley Cyrus’s body is fast becoming a road map to her life. She got another tattoo this week from celebrity inker Kat Von D. Nothing fancy, just crossed arrows. But why on her elbow?
Kat, who is known for her TLC reality television show “L.A. Ink,” and for dating West Coast Choppers motorhead Jesse James, posted a photo of the tat online.
“Simple symbols of friendship make beautiful tattoos,” Von D, real name Katherine von Drachenberg, wrote.
“ratta tat tat @thekatvond,” Miley Tweeted announcing the new design. Some speculate that the crossed arrows are a tribute to fiancée Liam Hemsworth’s blockbuster movie “The Hunger Games.”
Miley has been collecting tattoos even before it was legal for her to do so. You are supposed to be 18 in California before getting a tattoo without parental consent.
Her tattoos are mostly small, and mostly inconspicuous. She has a heart tattooed on one finger, the word “Love” inside one ear and the words “Just Breathe” under her left breast.
But in 2011 she had a huge tattoo of an Indian dreamweaver inked on the right side of her rib cage. It was her first legal inking after she turned 18.
She and Hemsworth, who have been dating since 2010, also share a tattoo of a Teddy Roosevelt quote, a favorite of disgraced president Richard Nixon.
Hers reads, “So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat.” His is the line preceding it: “If he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly.”
