Tiger Woods’ wife, the Swedish beauty Elin Nordegren is on the warpath, again, and this time she may have Tiger’s head. She is reportedly consulting again with divorce lawyers over his decision to return to golf.
Elin, 30, is said to be “furious” at Tiger’s comeback, because he is spending up to 16 hours a day practicing, according to the UK’s Daily Mirror.
She reportedly feels “humiliated” and used by Tiger, who she thinks is more concerned about reviving his career than following through on his pledge to put his family first, the paper claims.
The final straw came when Tiger allegedly canceled a family dinner and spent the time with golf journalists instead, discussing ways he could “spin” his return to the game.
She is said to have taken their two children to live with friends an hour from the family mansion in Isleworth, Florida.
“After Tiger announced he was going to compete again it was like a switch flicked – he was back to his workaholic ways. He really was focused on his family for a while there, sinking his teeth into his therapy, a friend told the Mirror.
It’s impossible to tell whether Tiger is lapsing back into business-as-usual before the scandal broke, or is trying to put the scandal behind him by returning to the one place where he can find truly find redemption — the golf course.
Whatever the case, it seems to fly in the face of promises he made as more than a dozen women came forward, claiming to have had affairs with him during his marriage.
Tiger vowed to put his golf career on “indefinite” hold until could put his marriage back together. Many believed he would stay away from the game for at least a year. Instead, it’s only been a matter of months.
If he had stayed away too long, though, he could easily have lost his edge — as well as the chance to rebuild his reputation.
It’s unlikely Tiger wants to be known as a golfer whose historic career was ended by a sex scandal.
Tiger is playing for the history books now, and likely his own self-esteem. His handlers are also probably anxious for him to crank back up the Tiger money-making machine.
Should he be faulted for wanting to return to the one arena where the focus will be on his playing prowess, not his playing around?
Elin, left devastated by Tiger’s string of affairs, reportedly went to see her divorce lawyers the day after he announced he would play in next month’s Masters Tournament, which starts April 8.
The decision to play was apparently made after he generated a positive response in polling data following his March 19 TV confession, the paper claims.
Reports of ups and downs in their reconciliation efforts have often been off-base. The real proof about their relationship will be whether Elin appears at the Masters tournament to support her husband.
Right now, the word is, she won’t.

Tiger has overcome alot these few months and of course he will stumble when it comes to his concentration. Give it a couple months and if anyone can bounce back, he would be the first choice. This guy is the most gifted golfer on the planet and i’m sure the golf fans can’t wait to see him get back to his dominance.
I’m glad to hear that Elin is moving forward with the divorce. I was beginning to think that she was staying just for the money, and that would be so foolish. It is obvious that TW is an extremely selfish and unfeeling person, who cares only about himself. Elin will receive plenty of money to raise their children, plus she will be able to keep her self respect. And the children won’t have to be raised in a home with a sham marriage.
The reason why Tiger is able to buy a 48.6 million dollar home in Florida or buy that 20 million dollar yacht that Elin went to for a getaway is because Tiger is a golfer. Nike pays him thirty million a year in endorsements and they expect him to play. If Elin wants to stay, and I am not saying whether she should or not, she needs to accept his career. If she wants to leave, I am sure she will leave with a healthy settlement. It won’t be Tiger money and she will not live the same lifestyle she would with Tiger, but I am sure Elin will be comfortable. She just needs to be real with herself and realize that the life she has doesn’t come for free and Tiger is not a stay at home dad. He is the greatest golfer in the world. And in order for her and her children to continue the private jet lifestyle, he needs to work.
I think that Elin Nordegren has been trying very hard but she cannot get over Tigers’ savage betrayal and who can blame her? A wife doesn’t get over such betrayal and lost of trust in a short period of time. Elin’s life has been and continues to be a living hell but she keeps going on for her children. Elin has conducted herself with dignity and courage during this horrid ordeal. How can Elin heal and trust again when all the sordid details of Tiger’s infidelities are being disclosed by the media almost daily? How much more pain, suffering and humiliation can this graceful and decent woman endure? I pray that whatever Elin decides to do work the best for her and her two precious children. My heart goes to them!
