Robert Pattinson in 'Perpetual Terror' Filming Cosmopolis

Sat Down for Q&A in London With Director David Cronenberg

Robert Pattinson and Director David Cronenberg sat down at the London Apple Store this weekend for a Q&A session about Rob’s latest film “Cosmopolis.”

“Cosmopolis” was screened at the Cannes Film Festival in France. Rob seemed to accomplish his goal of establishing himself as a serious actor, even though the film didn’t win the Palme d’Or, the festival’s top prize.

The film has drawn mixed reviews from critics, scoring a 50 percent rating on rottentomatoes, which tracks critical reviews. But the movie is eagerly anticipated. More than 95 percent of those surveyed want to see the picture.

Rob plays Eric Packer, a Wall Street financier who takes a bazaar Odyssey across Manhattan during a 24-hour period. When he first read the script, Rob said he thought the film was an “absurd comedy.”

“I spent the whole movie in perpetual terror,” Rob said of the acting experience, because it was so unusual.

Check out the intriguing conversation below and photos of Rob answering questions.

Mr. Pattinson was horribly ill advised to play Eric Parker in Cosmopolis, a deplorably decadent film. Whoever persuaded him to engage in such rubbish should be summarily sacked.
