Kim Kardashian’s priviledged Hollywood upbringing has a dark underside that includes a teenage elopement and repeated beatings at the hands of her music mogul husband Damon Thomas who thought she was never good enough for him.
Thomas is hotly disputing the claims. “This story is very upsetting,” he told Access Hollwood. “I am talking to my lawyers about what I need to do next.”
But the revelations are contained in 2004 divorce papers unearthed by Star magazine. They detail Kim’s marriage at 19 to Thomas and the shocking abuse that tore them apart.
The secret court papers also reveal for the first time that Kim has had plastic surgery, something she has always denied.
Kardashian ran off to Las Vegas to marry Thomas, who was 10 years older than her. Kim’s late father, Robert Kardashian, a highly regarded celebrity lawyer, stepped in and helped her get a divorce after four tumultuous years.
During the marriage, Kardashian alleged in court papers, Damon repeatedly beat her and at one point, forced her to get liposuction because he thought she was fat. “I had to be perfect [for him],” she claimed
The beatings started less than four months after they were married, she alleged.
In one ugly incident, Kardashian said she was on her way to meet singer Justin Timberlake to sky-dive together when she and Thomas got into a heated argument.
“Before we left our home, Damon hit me in the face and cut my lip open,” Kim alleged. “I fell into the bed frame and banged my knee hard. I was limping when we went skydiving.”
Kim also alleged that Thomas once “became enraged and punched me in the face” for paging a friend.
In another incident, “he held me up against the wall with his hands around my neck and threatened to choke me.”
Kim has had a succession of failed relationships. Former boyfriend Ray J, reportedly leaked their raunchy sex tape in 2007 and sold it to a porn company for worldwide distribution. The tape, however, made Kim famous.
She recently broke up with New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush, and was recently spotted kissing Portuguese soccer stud Cristiano Ronaldo.
