Other young Hollywood starlets, and a radiant Julianne Moore, who plays Carrie’s mother in the movie, joined Moretz on the red carpet at the ArcLight Cinemas.
Moore, 52, wore a white, sleeveless Givenchy drapped gown that exuded cool sophistication and Old Hollywood glamour. It showed off her toned body without revealing too much skin.
They were joined at the premiere by other co-stars that included Molly Simms, Portia Doubleday, Judy Greer and Jessica Parker Kennedy.

Fashions were fairly muted in largely primary colors, except for Doubleday, who was the sexy standout in monochrome black pants and daringly cut top. Only sheer backing separated her from a wardrobe malfunction. Still, she flashed some sideboob.
Carrie, 16, plays the title role, a high-school student who is taunted and bullied by classmates at school and her devoutly religious mother (Moore) at home. She learns when she gets angry, she can unleash telekinetic powers that can knock down walls.
“I’m a 15-year-old girl who is basically living what Carrie is going through in the film, trying to figure out your relationship with mum and with dad and figuring out what your voice is. And that’s Carrie,” she said in an interview.
Her horrid classmates elect her prom queen as a joke and set up the ultimate humiliation. Just as she’s crowned, she’s showered by a vat of pig’s blood hidden overhead. The prank triggers her powers and she wrecks the entire town.
The movie is a remake of the 1976 Stephen King cult classic directed by Brian De Palma . Sissy Spacek starred as Carrie.
The film is slated for release Oct. 18 to coincide with Halloween. Director Kimberly Peirce will have the advantage of modern special effects to help her top the original.
