“Twilight” hunk Robert Pattinson is starting to set the record straight on his personal life, now that the frenzy over “New Moon” is dying down. He says he’s single and that most of the stories that have been written about his personal life are “false.”
The 23-year old actor has been caught in a storm of media attention since ‘Twilight” became an international phenomenon. The scrutiny became so intense during the filming of ”New Moon,” he was forced to become a virtual recluse. One story that took on a life of its own was about his relationship, off-screen, to “Twilight” co-star Kristen Stewart.

Numerous publications have claimed they were involved in an off-screen romance, and some even claimed they were engaged, living together and even contemplating marriage. All are false, Pattinson says in a new interview.
When asked if anything was true about the gossip magazine and internet site reports that seemingly place him with a new girlfriend every week, or, alternatively, with Kristen Stewart, Rob replied, in a word, “nothing.’
“I am single,” he said (Go get ‘em girls!)
“Almost everything that came out about my private life is false. I think it happens because, really, there is not much to say about what I’m doing.
“While I am filming, I live practically reclused in hotel: I come out only to work, and sometimes to go out for dinner. But, if you read the magazines, it seems that I have a frantic high life.”
In the latest rumor to sweep the Internet, some reports claim that actress Uma Thurman, with whom Rob is starring in the upcoming movie “Bel Ami” was romantically linked to him. A rep for Thurman, however, slammed the report today (Dec. 9).
While confirming that Thurman had broken up with her boyfriend Arpad Busson, she said Thurman has not met Pattinson. “That is actually funny. Uma hasn’t even been in the same room as Pattinson.” the rep said.
In the movie, Pattinson will play a young, ambitious journalist who sleeps his way to the top with rich society women. Bel Ami is an adaptation of Guy de Maupassant’s 1885 novel.
While his new found fame makes it seems like Rob would have no trouble dating girls, the Twilight hunk says fame has had just the opposite effect.
“It was a lot easier before ‘Twilight,” he said.
“Now it is damned difficult to go out with a girl. Nowadays, if I go out with a girl, immediately I have been photographed with her; then they begin to pursue her on Facebook, they find her email, perhaps they insult her. And she end’s up hating me.
“I don’t want to be hated and I don’t want secret relationships; too much effort. So, for now, no girls,” he said.

i think he’s only trying to cover up his true relationship with kristen stewart. but if i were the girl, and he denies me like that, i’d be hurt cause you’ve been together and you share something noone else has. if i were robert pattinson, i’d just stray from the subject with regards to privacy but not lie. lying is another thing. it just makes things alot more complicated. and it’s true, a picture paints a thousand words.
he is single its nothing wrong in that he is busy for girls at the moment

Stop trying to make him single. He’s dating Kristen Stewart.
Something is fishy. Then does that mean he’ll hold hands and spend weekends, and kiss his good friends. I believe one picture is worth a thousand words. I’ve seen the pictures… don’t believe that none of what was written is true, and don’t believe he’s that single.
