Ashley Sampson, the blonde Vegas “friend” of Tiger Woods mistress Rachel Uchitel says her life has been hell ever since she revealed Woods’ affair with the New York party girl, touching off the biggest sex scandal in sports history.
Samson says the National Enquirer paid her $25,000 for the information she had about Woods and Uchitel and paid an unnamed girlfriend $10,000 to $15,000 to back up her story.
She decided to “tell the truth” to the newspaper, even though Woods offered her $200,000 to keep quiet about the affair.
The Las Vegas denizen provide the back story to her involvement in the scandal in a wide-ranging interview with the New York Daily News.
“I’m trying to get my f— life together and repair my reputation,” she told the newspaper. “It probably would have been better (to accept the $200,000) because what ended up happening was a big mess.”

Sampson said she was most damaged by Uchitel’s early denial of the affair and her vicious denunciation of her as a prostitute and a heavy drug user. Samson said she is neither.
“That’s the one thing that bothers me about Rachel – she just went crazy on me, making all this s— up about me, when all I was doing was telling the truth all along. I took a polygraph test, for God’s sake. Then she tarnishes my name in this town,” Sampson told the News.
Sampson said she learned about Woods’ relationship with Uchitel during a trip she took with her to Spain with two other girls. “She’s like, texting on her phone. She’s non-stop on her phone, texting. I’m like, ‘Girl, who are you texting?’ And she’s like, ‘Tiger,’” Samson said.
“My first reaction was, ‘I can’t believe this. I can’t believe Tiger would do this, (with) someone like Rachel.’ She’s a party girl. I mean that’s her reputation. I couldn’t believe that Tiger would do that. I didn’t believe it until I heard his voice,” said Sampson.
By the time the Enquirer approached her, she said they were already onto the affair and working on a story.
“I was never a drug user or a party girl,” says Sampson.
