Model Brooklyn Decker looks hotter than ever on the cover of the new Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue and calls the honor “the news of a lifetime.”
Decker joins supermodels Kathy Ireland, Cheryl Tiegs, Hiedi Klum, Elle MacPherson, Tyra Banks and Petra Nemcova, all of whom have appeared on the cover.
SI photographer Walter Iooss Jr., who has eleven SI Swimsuit covers to his name, handled the shoot this year.
The 22-year-old wife of tennis star Andy Roddick made her reputation posing semi-nude in the sports magazine and has appeared in the issue every year since 2006.
In fact, Roddick was so impressed when he saw her photo in the magazine’s 2006 issue, he asked his agent to contact Brooklyn and ask her for a date.
It apparently was a dream come true for both of them. Their relationship quickly blossomed and they were married last April at their home in Austin, Tx.
Decker is also the new face of La Senza’s Valentine lingerie. And she represents the label well in hot new photos.
The magazine always adds some drama to the widely anticipated magazine’s release by keeping the identity of the cover model secret.
Decker appears on the cover in a yellow bikini and is the photos are more wholesome than previous SI covers, which were veering into Playboy territory with sultry looking models. Semi-nudity is a staple now, however.
Decker said the look was closer to covers from the 1980s or ’90s, when the models were more athletic looking. Elle Macpherson came to characterize the era of friendly, sun-loving models.

She has no diet or exercise secret, she said, other than to be active and eat sensibly.
“I still don’t know the formula for the cover,” she added. “It’s luck, the perfect suit and perfect storm to get it.”
Decker said Sports Illustrated encourages a natural look — less makeup, toned muscles, curvy shape. “This celebrates the girls and their personalities. I think it’s why they get such beautiful pictures.”

I forgot that Bar has already been on the cover once so it’s great that a new face in on there. I certaintly hope Bar and Brooklyn make the cover again. Bar and Brooklyn are lucky & blessed.
