Adam Lambert Trashes Susan Boyle's No. 1 Album

Adam Lambert AMAsAdam Lambert wants his 15 minutes of fame, no matter how he gets it. In his latest outrage, he lambasted Scottish singer Susan Boyle because her album outsold his and denied him the No. 1 spot on album charts.

Lambert, the runner-up on last season’s “American Idol,” called Boyle’s debut album “terrible,” and said her arrangement of the Rolling Stones’ hit song “Wild Horses’ made him “cry with laughter.”

Boyle’s album I Dreamed A Dream debuted right after Lambert released his debut album, For Your Entertainment in November.

“If only it weren’t for Susan Boyle! I’m happy for her success, but that album is terrible,” he told Britain’s Gay Times magazine.

“Wild Horses is the one that made me laugh the hardest. I just died when I heard it, I was crying with laughter. It was the most horrendous, sacrilegious treatment of that song!” he said.

“Still, when my album charted, it was validating. I was feeling bit attacked, like I had to vindicate something. I thought: ‘Wow, look what I did.’”

Lambert sold 200,000 copies in his first week, a impressive outing for an American Idol contestant. But Boyle blew away his album.

She had the highest selling album of any artist in a single week last year and the largest ever sales debut for a female artist, selling more than 700,000 copies in its first week.

Boyle, 48, who lives in a modest government-owned home in Scotland with her pet cat, captured the world’s when she performed on a British talent competition. She also topped Rihanna and Idol winner Kris Allen on the charts.

Lambert, who is developing a flare for the outrageous, sparked an uproar with his performance on the American Music Awards, after he kissed a male dancer and shoved another dancer’s face in his crotch.

By trashing the album he’s trashing trashing those who bought it….and by doing that he shows where trash really comes from….the number of sales speak for themselves.
He told gay Times? WOW.. a limited circulation for a limited talent.
Susan? every other publication in the UK, USA, India, Ireland etc etc….as they say stateside….you go girl!

Jessie – “Most of the world is thinking.” Do you include the 10 million people who’ve bought Susan Boyle’s CD in that? Those people that made her CD number one of 2009? Just wondering. And I’m waiting for more specifics from Adam about being misquoted. I think it might be hard to misquote “that album is terrible.” But, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt if he’ll explain a bit more.

This information came from a SPOOF website. 100 % fiction.

    Who’s adam Lambert?

  • lyn carthew

First of all Susan Boyle is not Welsh. Adam did not make these statements, he was a victim of poor reporting, very much like this “article”

  • TheBoss

Wait. Are there people out there who actually think SuBo made a GOOD album?

Everyone has a right to their opinion. Even Adam Lambert.

  • Wide Eyed

Funny how Adam Lambert always says he was misquoted, or misunderstood, when something blows up in his face.

    How about a simple apology?

  • Jessie

Hilarious. Finally someone has the guts to say what most of the world is thinking. Of course wait until all the Subo fanatics find this article and start in with the homophobic comments.

  • MasterK

Eh, Lambert’s right. That Wild Horses cover is the worst thing I’ve ever heard in my life.
