The Metropolitan Museum of Art will be displaying 19 paintings and one sculpture from the collection of the Allen Memorial Art Museum at Oberlin College in a rare exhibit that includes the great Ter Brugghen painting “Saint Sebastian Tended by Saint Irene.”The painting is one of the most important North Baroque painting in the U.S. The exhibit will also include the Cézanne’s Viaduct at l’Estaque, Kirchner’s Self-Portrait as a Soldier, and a striking Kirchner sculpture.

The 23rd Annual Miracle on Madison Avenue will be held on Sunday, Dec. 6th. Miracle 2009 will be a day of shopping and entertainment for guests of all ages. More than 75 participating retailers along New York City’s famed Madison Avenue between 57th and 86th Streets will donate 20 percent of the day’s sales to The Children’s Aid Society’s health services.
