Met Museum to Exhibit Oberlin College Collection

Oberlin CollectionThe Metropolitan Museum of Art will be displaying 19 paintings and one sculpture from the collection of the Allen Memorial Art Museum at Oberlin College in a rare exhibit that includes the great Ter Brugghen painting “Saint Sebastian Tended by Saint Irene.”The painting is one of the most important North Baroque painting in the U.S. The exhibit will also include the Cézanne’s Viaduct at l’Estaque, Kirchner’s Self-Portrait as a Soldier, and a striking Kirchner sculpture.

Little Flower Children's Services Toy Drive

Suburban Exterminating Co, Inc. is sponsoring a Christmas toy drive for Little Flower Children’s Services of New York in Wading River, NY. The orphanage houses children (infants to young adults) who have lost their families.

The drive will run from 7 a.m. on Monday, November 30 through noon on Saturday, December 12 and donation hours will be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Miracle 2009 will be a day of shopping and entertainment for guests of all ages. More than 75 participating retailers along New York City’s famed Madison Avenue between 57th and 86th Streets will donate 20 percent of the day’s sales to The Children’s Aid Society’s health services.
