Sting, John Legend, James Cameron, Reverend Jesse Jackson and other artists and thought-leaders are headlining the 40th anniversary of Earth Day on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.. Activities kick off with service events April 17 and conclude with The Climate Rally on April 25.
Aqua at Danfords Hotel & Marina will host the Fifth Annual Pancreatic Cancer Fundraiser on Friday, April 16th from 5:30 to 8 p.m. In memory of Rachelle Dresnik and Steven Platzner, the event will benefit The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research.

Conceived by Bill T. Jones, Jim Lewis and Stephen Hendel.

The Eighth Annual “Hamptons Restaurant Week ” kicks off Mar. 21 and participating restaurants will offer unique three-course prix fixe menus all night and on Saturday until 7 p.m. The regional promotion is open to restaurants, wineries, llodging properties and spas located throughout Long Island’s East End.
Erika deVries’ solo exhibition, “An Enlarged Heart,” at at my art prospects takes language and light as central forms and metaphor with new works in neon, lenticular, photo etching, and embroidery. deVries is a photography, performance and video artist and a full time faculty member at New York University, Tisch School of The Arts.
Promising teen artists (ages 15 to 18) from around the country will be in New York, Monday, Mar 15, to perform at the New York Songwriters Circle’s first ever “Young Artist Showcase.” Headlining the show will be hottest teen artist on the Internet, Ali Brustofski.
