This light and airy restaurant features French windows, bright-whitewashed walls with blue accents and banquettes, skylights, an indoor patio and rotating art exhibits.

Blue Sky Mediterranean Lounge in Sag Harbor will open in May at the former site of Spinnakers. Executive Chef and Managing Partner Giuseppe “Beppe” Desiderio teams up with owner Jerry Wawryk to serve reasonably priced Mediterranean cuisine.

The light and airy restaurant features French windows, bright-whitewashed walls with blue accents and banquettes, skylights, an indoor patio and rotating art exhibits.

The eatery recently garnered a “very good” (two stars) rating from Peter Gianotti of Newsday. “[Desiderio’s] breezy, Mediterranean-inspired menu and easygoing approach suit the season and the mood.”

Joanne Starkey of The New York Times also rated the restaurant “very good” (two stars) and called it “a happy addition to the Hamptons.”

The menu features appetizers from $5 to $17, salads from $8 to $10, and entrées from $10 to $28. Items are also paired with suggested wines from Spain, Portugal, France and Italy to reflect the Mediterranean cuisine and to complement the menu selection.
