Turtle Crossing brought their barbecue to East Enders in 1994, and they’re still a Hamptons fixture, offering a broad menu that goes beyond traditional southwestern cooking. The New York Times says Turtle Crossing serves the “Island’s Best BBQ” and they were named among the “Ten Most Affordable Restaurants on Long Island.” Chef Arthur Wolf executes the menu while owner Stanley Singer, a native Oklahoman, oversees.

Townline BBQ in Sagaponack, offers a casual, family friendly atmosphere with affordable prices and a real ribs joint atmosphere. After traveling to Texas and Kansas, owner Mark Smith and executive chef and partner Joe Realmuto decided that authentic Texas BBQ, with a little bit of pork on the menu, was the winning concept. As the sun sets over Sag Harbor Cove on summer nights, The Beacon in Sag Harbor has a ‘spectacular’ view according to the Zagat Survey. Watching the boats glide by from tables on The Beacon’s second-story deck sets the stage for a perfect sunset dining experience. But Joanne Starkey of The New York Times doesn’t call The Beacon “the best of summer dining” just because of its view.

Picture James Bond – not Daniel Craig, but Sean Connery – pulling up to the curb in his Aston Martin and climbing out in his Antony Sinclair Savile Row suit with ascot neatly tufted in his shirt. He would glance to each side before walking into Beekman Bar and Books on First Ave. and 50th Street.
