Selena Gomez Young Hollywood's Hottest Fashion Ingenue (photos!)

Selena Gomez is in the spotlight with a new movie to promote and some hot puppy love with teen sensation Justin Bieber. Through it all, the 18-year-old has looked exquisite and is emerging as young Hollywood’s most fashionable ingenue.

Over the past month, Selena has appeared on a wide variety of television shows, at such special events as the MTV Movie Awards and her own movie premiere, of course.

Through all of her turns in the spotlight, she hasn’t missed a beat, fashionwise.

At the MTV Movie Awards, she wore a Giambattista Valli dress and Casadei shoes, with defined eyes and pretty pink lips.

“We like to separate when she’s promoting a movie, as apposed to being a musician,” her stylist, Basia Richards, said in a recent interview.

“When she’s representing herself as an actress, we opt for classic, pretty looks, we like to keep it clean and let the outfit speak for itself,” Richards said.

For the Billboard Awards, Selena wore a slinky black Dolce & Gabbana dress.

It exuded a demur sexuality with a slit up the front and cutouts at each hip. It was sexy but stopped well short of slutty.

“Minimalistic,” is how Richards describes her style.

Selena accessorized her Giambattista Valli dress with huge hoop earrings and the highest of heels.

It played off her youth, yet was stylish, said Richards.

At the New York City Premiere of her new movie, “Monte Carlo,” last month, Selena wore a cornflower blue chiffon plunging gown

The sleeveless gown had sparkling accents, with a surplice pleated bodice, deep V neckline, and ruched sheer skirt.

She accessorized with red gold earrings, gold bangles in her left arm and a sparkling hard box clutch.

As always, she went easy on the makeup to allow her radiant skin to show through. a rose pink lipgloss and thin eyeliner accented her face.

Her MuchMusic Awards dress was perhaps her most fashion forward.

She went with a nude look in a mini beige frock that was ruffled in the front and backless.

She contrasted it with bright purple heels.

Like so many stars from the Disney stable, Gomez must negotiate the bridge between child stardom and more adult roles.

So far she’s staked out glamour and youthful sexuality as her trademark look.
