“The Hunger Games’” Jennifer Lawrence has scored her first major high-fashion gig representing Christian Dior’s new Miss Dior handbag campaign. It’s a savvy move. Lawrence will be getting plenty of red carpet time in the weeks ahead.
The fetching 21-year-old actress tipped her impending deal in July when she turned up in the front row of the brand’s couture show.
“It’s such a dream to represent an iconic brand that is synonymous with high fashion,” Lawrence said in a statement.

“It’s impossible to be in the industry without getting even the slightest introduction to fashion,” she said, according to fashion trade magazine WWD. “I hate being overdressed so I normally find a way to ‘casualize’ anything too showy.
“If I have a red-carpet event, I definitely want a couple hours to get ready. But for my everyday life, I’m normally ready in 15 minutes,” she said.
The Miss Dior handbags have also been repped by actresses Mila Kunis, Marion Cotillard, while Natalie Portman represents Miss Dior Cherie makeup.
The campaign will roll out in March, 2013. Check out Jennifer’s stunning photo outtakes from Flare magazine’s 2010 photo shoot, which recently went viral on the Internet.
Lawrence played Katniss Everdeen in mega-hit “The Hunger Games.” Sequel “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” is currently filming. She’ll next appear in “The Silver Linings Playbook,” which premiered at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival. The comedy-drama film directed by David O. Russell hits theaters in November.
