Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lawrence and Lea Michelle all made fashion statements at the People’s Choice Awards this week. It was one of the first outings of awards show season, with the Oscars and Golden Globes yet to come. So who wore it best?
A slew of celebrities walked the red carpet on Wednesday night (Jan. 9) for the widely watched awards show.
It was easy to tell most dresses were on loan from top designers. Most of the celebrities wore 2013 spring designs that were a step out of season for the middle of winter. But that’s what red carpet processions do best, showcase new designs.
Among the clues to the upcoming spring fashion season, bright colors seem to be in vogue, including vivids such as fuchsia, orange and purple. Among the designers spotted on the red carpet were Elie Saab (Lea Michelle), Tony Ward (Julianne Hough) and Mary Katrantzou (Paris Hilton).
Taylor Swift dazzled in a long, white gown with a plunging neckline, that finally showed off her breasts. Chloe Moretz wore a neon cocktail dress and Kaley Cuoco was in pastel, illustrating the hot new Spring trends.
Also on the best dressed list, Naomi Watts wore a stunning gold and black Alexander McQueen gown, and Lawrence shimmered in Valentino Couture. Aniston wore a Tom Ford leather outfit that seemed to provoke the most rants.
