Jamie Bell, Daniel Craig First Look in Tintin Trailer (watch!)

Jamie Bell and Daniel Craig get their first exposure in a new trailer for the performance capture movie “The Adventures of Tintin, a Steven Spielberg-directed movie based on the classic Georges “Hergé” Remi comic books.

Bell stars as Tintin, a young Belgian reporter who experiences a series of adventures with his faithful fox terrier dog Snowy at his side.

Remi, who wrote under the name “Hergé” penned the comic strip during the early 20th century and created a colorful cast of characters that includes the raspy Captain Haddock, Professor Calculus and a pair of dopey detectives known as Thomson and Thompson.

Spielberg was so enamored by the books he optioned them for a movie in 1983 after Remi’s death, and re-optioned them in 2002. He and producer Peter Jackson are planning for up to three movies.

The film also stars Andy Serkis, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Gad Elmaleh, Toby Jones and Mackenzie Crook.

In the film, Tintin meets Captain Haddock (Andy Serkis), and they discovery a clue to the treasure of his ancestor Sir Francis Haddock.

They set out to find it with a prison escapee who is trailed by Detectives Thompson and Thomson (Simon Pegg and Nick Frost).
