The trailer from IGNentertainment isn’t much different that a similar clip that was made for the domestic market earlier this year. Another clip debuted a Comic Con as well.
The new trailer dispenses with the opening scene from the domestic trailer showing “M” (Judi Dench) giving the order to have Bond assassinated as he walks on top of a moving train. Instead it opens with the shooter aiming and firing and Bond tumbling off a bridge into a river.
There’s no dialogue in the new trailer, only Adele’s haunting, soulful song. It captures the mood of the trailer, and ostensibly the film, to a tee.
This has been a big week for Agent 007. The 50th anniversary of the James Bond franchise took place on Oct. 5, the date the first Bond movie, “Dr. No,” was released in 1962. The week was declared “Global James Bond Day.” Adele’s song, and yet another new Skyfall trailer were released to mark the occasion.
A slew of events marked the occasion. New York’s Museum of Modern Art staged a Bond retrospective, Bond memorabilia was sold in an online charity auction and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences sponsored a concert featuring Bond songs in Los Angeles.
The 23rd Bond movie, which also stars Ben Whishaw as tech wizard Q and Javier Bardem as the villain, hits theaters Nov. 9 in North America. Check out the clips below and click here to follow TheImproper on Twitter for more James Bond updates.
