Can’t get enough of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan and Edward Cullen? How about eight more minutes of unseen footage from “Breaking Dawn, Part 1?” It’s on a new, extended version DVD and Blu-Ray of the movie.
A lot can happen in eight minutes. As Twilight fans know, “Breaking Dawn, Part 1” had to cover a lot of ground to do the book justice and set up “Breaking Dawn, Part 2.”
The extended version debuts only on Blu-ray Disc (plus Digital Copy and UV), DVD (plus Digital Copy and UV) and Digital Download on Saturday March 2, according to the studio.
Director Bill Condon personally added the extra scenes and provides optional commentary.
“As Twilight series devotees know, there was a lot of ground to cover in adapting Breaking Dawn to the screen,” said Condon in a statement. “Between the wedding, the honeymoon, the birth, and everything in between, naturally there were things that didn’t make it into our final cut.
“But I wanted to make sure that for all the Twihards out there, there was a chance to see some of these cut scenes – several of which are fan favorites from the book,” he added.
Based on the released of an extended version overseas, the new DVD will likely include a new version of the opening scene with the Volturi; more of Edward’s flashback as a young vampire; more honeymoon footage; more scenes at the Cullen house; an extended fight scene and a new scene of Jacob nursing his wounds.
The suggested retail price is $29.99 for Blu-ray and $22.98 for the DVD. Check out a promo for the extended version below and be sure to follow TheImproper on twitter for the latest updates on Robert Pattinson and Kristen stewart.
