Christina Aguilera goes back to her dirrty gurl X-Tina ways in what can only be described as ’80s trailer-tramp style in the new video for her song “Your Body.” Is a throwback anyway to make a comeback?
Aguilera has been trying to find her footing in a comeback fueled by her dramically increased visibility on the hit show “The Voice,” where she’s a judge.
Kristina released “Your Body” as the first single off her upcoming album Lotus.
She took time off to have a baby in 2008 and 2009, at the peak of her career. During that time, she was eclipsed by a host of new stars like Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Ke$ha and Katy Perry.
Aguliera was also considered to be suffering from a muddled image. She went from former Disney teen queen down the road to raunch and overt sexuality in step with Britney Spears.
She went glam, released her sixth studio album Bionic and ventured into film with her 2010 movie “Burlesque.” The album and movie flopped. But she’s gotten a solid lift from the television show, although she’s been bashed in the tabloids over her weight.
