Kim Kardashian’s batting record in foreign affairs is 0-3 after her latest gaff involving the civil war in Syria. Kim shouted out to her Twitter followers about the conflict and appears to have blundered into a misinformation campaign by the Syrian government.

Kim expressed her sympathy for residents of the Kessab, a traditional Armenian Christian village seized by rebels in heavy fighting last month.

Kim Kardashian Gets Play in Bitter Turk-Armenian Feud

“If you don’t know what’s going on in Kessab please google it … As an Armenian, I grew up hearing so many painful stories,” Kim wrote her March 30 tweet. “Please let’s not let history repeat itself!!!!!! Let’s get this trending!!!! #SaveKessa #ArmenianGenocide”

The problem is the has tag “#SaveKessa” has been reportedly circulated by Syrian Dictator Bashar al-Assad’s secret service to perpetrate claims that rebels sacked churches and massacred Armenian Christians when they took over the territory.

Images of a young girl mutilated with a crucifix and another girl’s decapitated body have been circulated as part of the campaign. But the images reportedly had been staged, according to London’s Daily Mail.

The United States government officially opposes the Assad government and is tacitly backing rebels seeking to overthrow the Russian ally.

Kim may still be trying to atone for an international incident she caused in April 2011.

Kim Kardashian Becomes Lightning Rod for Hardline Islamists

She appeared on the cover of the April issue of Turkish Cosmopolitan magazine, and became an unwitting pawn in Turkish efforts to minimize Genocide Remembrance Day.

The occasion marks the years during and after World War I, when the Turks murdered 1.5 million Armenians in a genocide that mirrors, in many ways, the Nazi Holocaust of World War II.

Kim later claimed she was unaware the cover was scheduled to run in April.

A year later, Kim became a lightning rod for hard-line Islamists who flocked to the streets to protest her arrival in Bahrain to promote a chain of milkshake stores.

They were incensed because she tweeted her sympathy for Israel during a bout of heavy fighting in Gaza. After Arabs protested, she tried to make amends by expressing the same thoughts for Arabs living in “Palestine.”

The Jewish state as well as the United States and other countries have never recognized Palestine. The term is used by Arab extremists as another name for Israel, although Palestine has never existed as a nation.

Perhaps Kim should stick to Tweeting bikini photos. Let us know your thoughts and be sure to follow TheImproper on Twitter for the latest celebrity news.
