Actress Katherine Heigl should watch where she shops. Drug-store chain Duane Reade tweeted a photo of her exiting a store with its signature bags in tow, and now Heigl wants $6 million for “unauthorized” use of her image.

The drug store re-tweeted a paparazzi photo it lifted from a celebrity photo Web site, and added a snappy sales pitch for the caption.

“Love a quick #DuaneReade run? Even @KatieHeigl can’t resist shopping #NYC’s favorite drugstore,” it wrote to its 2.2 million followers.

The whole episode prompted Heigl to file a lawsuit claiming the chain use the photo for “commercial purposes.” It was snapped in New York City last month on the street while she was filming her new television series.

Duane Reade also posted the photo on its Facebook account. (Talk about being connected to social media).

Heigl reportedly became livid when the chain refused to remove the tweet (it’s still posted) and the lawsuit followed.

‘Plaintiff is a highly successful television and motion picture actress, producer and celebrity,’ according to the suit. “Plaintiff continues to be in high demand in the entertainment industry.”

Um, well, not quite. She quit her hit television show “Grey’s Anatomy” in a huff in 2010 and tried to launch a big-screen career. But her two movies bombed,” according to The HuffingtonPost.
