Rivera seemed to fall from grace in a stunning fashion this week when tabloids went wild with reports that she was on the skids.
Her “Glee” departure was tagged to some kind of on-going feud and blow-out fight with “Glee” co-star Lea Michele. The reports seemed dubious from the get-go. TheImproper chose not to report it.
On-set feuds are nothing new. If someone were fired every time one of those broke out, half of Hollywood would be out of work. Plus, doesn’t Naya have a contract?
Sure enough her rep adamantly denied the report.
“To be clear, any rumors or statements made as fact, that Naya Rivera was fired or let go from ‘Glee’ or dropped from her recording contract, are categorically false,” the rep told E! News.
“If the ‘news’ outlets who put out this story had bothered to contact anyone from her team they would have learned this was false,” the rep added.
Ha! Fat chance of that happening. Facts never stand in the way of a good story at most gossip sites.
Now, here’s the kicker. “Naya’s attorneys are prepared to take any and all legal action to enforce and protect her rights,” the rep said, no doubt gnashing teeth at this point.
Fat chance of that happening, too. Sleazy Web sites have just as much right to hide behind the First Amendment as The New York Times.
Not all is copacetic for the 27-year-old actress, however. Her fiance, Big Sean, definitely, without doubt, pulled the plug on their wedding.
But not all is lost. “Sean wishes Naya nothing but the best and it is still his hope that they can continue to work through their issues privately,” his rep told Us magazine.
