Lady Gaga says musicians should sing live when fans are paying for a ticket to their show.

Lady Gaga says she feels most at home on stage singing her songs, emphasis on singing. She took other musicians to task for lip-syncing during concerts. Hello Britney and Beyonce.

Spears who is currently playing a Las Vegas residency to sell-out crowds is notorious for lip-syncing her way through shows.

Beyonce was caught lip-syncing the “Star Spangled Banner” during the featured performance at President Obama’s 2013 Inauguration.

It was all the more embarrassing because Kelly Clarkson went on before her and sang a knock out version of “My Country, ‘Tis of Thee” live, despite the cold and a “case of nerves.”

Last December, Katy Perry was also caught in a lip-syncing snafu at the NRJ Music Awards in Cannes when a technical snafu screwed up her backing track.

The conversation got started when Lady Gaga was asked whether she felt nervous before a concert.

“I’m used to it, but also it’s where I feel I belong the most,” she said. “My purpose in the world, when it takes full form is when I’m on a stage.”

“I know you sing live, right?” asked the Extra TV host. Boy, did she touch a nerve.

“I don’t think it’s cool to lip sync,” Gaga said. “I think if you pay money for a ticket to see a show, the artist should f**king have some pipes and sing their records for you.”
