Selena Gomez is expressing new self-confidence, personally and sexually, after her soul-sucking relationship with Justin Bieber. She’s had a tough time, but boldly declared that she is “taking my power back.”

The singer and actress turned 21 last July and appears to have used the time since then to take control of her life.

But Bieber was one of the last sticking points to a fresh beginning.

Now that her 22nd birthday is two months away, she seems to have finally realized the destructive nature of her relationship.

She made a new declaration of independence on vacation by posting a sexy selfie in a hot string bikini with the caption: “taking my power back.”

It’s one of series of messages she’s sent over the past month and a half over the social media service. She also posted a semi-nude photo in front of a window, looking carefree.

“Can’t wait to show you where I’ve been. I love y’all,” she said, adding this footnote: “Ps, I still obsess over pickles.”

As if to drive home the point, she also posted an inspirational message from an episode of Oprah Winfrey’s “Lifeclass.”

In January, Selena voluntarily checked into rehab at Arizona’s The Meadows treatment facility, but checked out two weeks into the six-week program. No reason was given.

She’s also completely overhauled her management team, including firing her parents, who were her managers.
