The 28-year-old New York native is featured in the June Madame Figaro,, magazine supplement to the French newspaper Le Figaro.
She’s dark, brooding, sensual and Goth-like in the magazine’s “Mode & Music” issue. She strikes poses for photographer James White, wearing Gucci, Rochas, Chloé, and Zadig & Voltaire boots.
In fact, Lana’s profile in France couldn’t be higher. She was the guest of honor and headliner at La Fete De La Musique in Paris last week.
Here at home, the going has been a little rougher.
In a recent interview, she touched off a social media backlash when she called feminism “boring.” She also said she wasn’t really interested in gender equality.
She caused another uproar in a UK newspaper, when she seemingly glamorized musicians who’d died young. She said she often wished she could be among artists like Amy Winehouse and Kurt Cobain.
Kurt committed suicide when he was 27 and Amy died of acute alcohol poisoning at the same age.
None other than Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of the late Nirvana frontman, busted her chops for the remarks.
But in France, none of that matters.
Lana is the epitome of sensuality and allure. Check out her latest photos, let us know your thoughts and follow TheImproper on Twitter for the latest music news.
