Iggy Azalea today (Aug. 13). released her big production video for “Black Widow,” featuring UK Singer Rita Ora, and it pretty much follows the script of earlier reports. Its a take off on Quentin Tarantino’s “Kill Bill” movies.
The opening scene is set in a diner with Iggy working behind the counter and Rita on the arm of actor Michael Madsen.
He’s a loud-mouthed gangster type, more or less reprising his role as Budd, aka Sidewinder from the movie. Bud is a former Deadly Viper Assassin. He is targeted to die by the Bride, played by Uma Thurman, as part of her revenge killing spree.
Madsen demands a “bacon sandwich with cheese” and orders one for his dame as well. When Iggy brings him a BLT, he throws a fit and she starts imagining her revenue fantasy.
She and the bullied girlfriend morph into ninja fighters and eventually catch up to the smarmy hood. There’s a surprise ending, so we won’t give it away here.
Interestingly, Iggy takes a co-direction credit with Director X, aka Julien Christian Lutz, a well-known Canadian music video director. Is she bucking for a movie career in her future?
