Vivid Video, infamous for releasing Kim Kardashian’s sex tape, claims it has the homemade tape.
It has been trying to get Iggy to sign off on its release, promising a multi-million dollar payday. But Iggy insisted the girl in the tape was not her.
Today, however, her lawyer revealed that she may be the person in the tape, after all. But her legal team appears to be blocking its release by claiming she was underage when she made it.
If so, it could cause Vivid to run afoul of child pornography laws. The tape is supposedly being peddled by an ex-boyfriend.
The tape existence comes on the heels of a massive leak of private celebrity nude photos over the Internet that were obtained by hackers. Many celebrities have condemned the release as an invasion of privacy.
Ironcially, Iggy has been one of the more outspoken.
“Anyone who releases or attempts to make profit off someone else’s intimate moments against their will is a sex offender,” she Tweeted.
“It honestly makes me sick to see the media encourage any other attitude towards those sorts of people, we should want to protect our women…
“and i really hope that america will follow Europe and their laws to better protect peoples privacy and fundamental rights,” she added.
It’s hard to understand all the fuss. Without her agreement to use the tape for commercial purposes, Vivid can’t release it.
By denying it was her in the footage, she basically surrendered all rights to control its use.
Still, she’s the one who gives it marquee value. A sex tape with someone who looks like Iggy wouldn’t have the same value as the genuine article.
