The building has been a magnet for celebrities. Casey Affleck and Director Gus Van Sant are reportedly neighbors, according to The New York Daily News.
The building was constructed in 1911 and consists of eight apartments on eight floors with huge floor-to-ceiling arched windows and lots of light. Kirsten’s unit has north, south and west exposures and a stunning view of the Hudson River.
The 32-year-old actress bought the penthouse in 2007 for $3.09 million, according to cityrealty.com.
She promptly gutted and renovated the loft so it totally reflects her taste, described in real estate listings as a “quirky antique style.” One thing is certain, she digs exposed brick walls and spared no expense.
Her two-bedroom, one-and-a-half bath condo also has a library, living room and separate dining area. The floors are wide planked wood and custom-made.
The fully equipped windowed kitchen is huge and features Wolf and SubZero appliances, marble countertops. The dining room can comfortably seat eight people. The unit also has a top-line Electrolux washer and dryer, a Manhattan luxury for those who know the market.
The master suite has a stunning bathroom with a vintage clawfoot soaking tub, separate shower, custom mosaic tiled floors and heated towel rack.
One downside is the lack of a doorman for the building, but Dunst’s unit has a state-of-the-art security system.
The apartment is being listed by Douglas Elliman broker Jared Seligman. Lease terms are flexible.
