Jimmy Kimmel premiered a new service on his show last night (Sept. 23) that will help celebrities keep their nude photos private. Once again American capitalism rises to the occasion in a most unusual way.

The scandal has Hollywood up in arms, but the release of hundreds of racy photos has provided a mother lode biting humor on late night television.

“By now I’m sure you’ve heard about the nude photographs of various female celebrities that were stolen and leaked on the World Wide Web,” Kimmel said opening the bit.

“Of course, this has caused a lot of consternation here in Hollywood,” he added.

Kimmel noted that some critics say celebrities shouldn’t take naked pictures in the first place, but the point, he emphasized, is their privacy was violated.

“That’s why I’m glad to see an American company, a classic American company, taking steps to make sure this never happens again.
