Adam Levine, frontman for Maroon 5 and popular coach on the hit show “The Voice” is facing new protests over his blood-soaked “Animals” video from rape crisis groups for “glorifying” a criminal act.

TheImproper first broke the story three days ago (Sept. 29), reporting a brewing outcry over social media because of the video’s depiction of serial stalking.

In the clip, Levine plays a psychopathic loner who works in a butcher shop. He stalks a beautiful woman played by his new wife, model Behati Prinsloo.

Levine fantasizes about having sex with her, secretly photographs her and gets very kinky with a side of beef in a meat locker.

In the fantasy sequence, Levine and Prinsloo are shown naked in one scene and being doused in blood from above while embracing in another.

The video glorifies rape according to The Rape, Abuse Incest National Network, a non-profit group that provides emergency counseling for incest and rape victims.

“No one should ever confuse the criminal act of stalking with romance,” the group said in a statement.

The National Sexual Violence Resource Center also criticized the video for objectifying Prinsloo.

Beside raising concerns, the vidoe is just creepy.

The video was released today (Sept. 29) just as a suspected serial stalker and alleged murderer was arrested in the disappearance of two University of Virginia women. He is suspected in as many as five murders.

The clip opens with Prinsloo, a worldclass model from Nambia, walking into a butcher shop. Levine is working behind the counter.

The workers are hacking up meat, which has it’s own sickly symbolism.

Behati, 25, also smokes cigarettes in the clip, which is sure to irk anti-smoking advocates.
