North Korea’s beloved leader Kim Jong-Un has dropped out of sight for almost a month, provoking rumors about illness or even a possible coup. It only makes sense that he would resurface for a guest appearance on “Saturday Night Live” to show the world he is still in charge, sort of.
Bobby Moynihan had the honor of playing the fearless leader in the show’s cold open.
The skit opened with Moynihan sitting with a nurse surrounded by his lackeys. It played off Kim’s reported over-indulgence on imported cheese while millions of his countrymen are starving.
The cheese apparently got the better of him causing an extreme case of gout, which the fearless leader, of course, tries to deny.
He’s fearless, after all, and the supreme leader, who can dunk over Michael Jordan and other great feats of strength, like tap-dancing.
