Donald Trump is fighting a nasty Twitter feud with UK comedian Russell Brand, who has called out The Donald on two of his trademark boasts; That he is a successful self-made businessman and has a full head of hair.

Trump responded by dragging Katy Perry into the social media blast.

Trump, for some unknown reason started the feud after watching the acerbic comedian on late night television.

“I watched Russell Brand @rustyrockets on the @jimmyfallon show the other night—what the hell do people see in Russell—a major loser!” he Tweeted afterward.

He followed with a second Tweet about Brand’s failed marriage.

“@katyperry must have been drunk when she married Russell Brand @rustyrockets – but he did send me a really nice letter of apology!,” he wrote.

But Trump got one major thing wrong. Brand was on “Late Night with David Letterman” on Monday (Oct. 13), not the “Tonight Show.” That gave Brand an opening for a sharp retort.

“@realDonaldTrump are you drunk when you write these tweets? Or does that foam you spray on your bald head make you high?” he wrote.

Then Brand hit him where it hurt.

“@realDonaldTrump I don’t think your daddy left you any witty ripostes, and everything you have you inherited.”

Brand cited as his reference the book, “The Self-Made Myth: The Truth About How Government Helps Individuals and Businesses Succeed.”

It claims that Trump’s father actually built the family real estate empire from scratch and left Donald somewhere between $40 million and $200 million when he died.

The book also states that The Donald’s father, Fred Trump, received government subsidies during the Great Depression and World War Two that kept his company afloat.

Trump’s company The Trump Organization, teetered on the brink of bankruptcy in 1990 following a major real estate crash in the face of a $5 billion debt overhang.

A consortium of some 70 banks got Trump off the hook by deferring $1 billion in debt and refinancing his remaining overhang on sketchy second and third mortgages on his properties, according to the book.

Brand linked to another article in The Atlantic magazine that called Trump a “deadbeat” because of all his loan defaults over the past 20 years.

Trump shot back with another Katy Perry tweet.

“@katyperry Katy, what the hell were you thinking when you married loser Russell Brand. There is a guy who has got nothing going, a waste!”

Katy, for her part, has stayed out of the fight.
