FKA Twigs made a stunning showing on the red carpet at the Mercury Prize ceremony today, coinciding with the release of her latest video for her song “Video Girl.” Twigs was striking on both counts.

But what she wasn’t was a winner. The highly coveted UK music award when to hip-hoppers Young Fathers from Scotland.

Still Twigs, real name Tahliah Barnett, was a winner on the red carpet. She wore a white, asymmetrical dress with a tuxedo top and a leg baring design. She accessorized with black, thigh-high laced boots.

Boyfriend Robert Pattinson was conspicuously absent, but he was reportedly back in Los Angeles working on a film project with Robert DeNiro, according to E! News.

In any event, it was Twigs’ night to shine. Her new video, filmed in black and white, was a stark trip with a mystical, psychedelic vibe set in a prison execution chamber.

She dances like an exotic aura as an inmate is strapped to a table for an execution by lethal injection. She pops up in the chamber in a space-age outfit dancing as if she’s the inmate’s spirt, slowly ebbing away.

Twigs will take on American audiences next week, Nov. 4. She’ll debut on The “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

Can’t wait to see her play beer pong with Jimmy. Do you think Rob will be in the audience?
