Christie look more like a blustery bowl of jello on “Saturday Night Live’s” cold open as he equivocated violently.
Christie had Hickok placed in quarantine when she arrived at Newark airport after volunteering with Doctors Without Boarders to treat Ebola victims in Sierra Leone.
The New Jersey State health department slapped her with a mandatory 21-day quarantine for her efforts, even though she had no signs of the disease.
Christie handled the flummox better on SNL. “Yeah, what!” declared Bobby Moynihan, playing the governor.
“Governor, what do you say to Ms. Hickok’s claim that her quarantine was inhumane,” questioned Cecily Strong, playing Fox News’ Megyn Kelly.
“With all due respect, Megyn, you need to shut the hell up!” said the governor.
Later in the skit, Megyn cut to Hickok, played by the hilarious Kate McKinnon, at her home in Maine. Hickok turned out to be far feistier than Christie bargained for.
“I don’t care if I have Ebola, I’m riding my damn bike,” she asserted.
See what happens below when Christie shows up on her doorstep. Is Gov. Christie destined to be a walking SNL skit?
