Paul Walker couldn’t cheat death in real life, but in his final appearance in a new trailer for “Fast & Furious 7” he pulls death-defying stunts as the team, Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Lucas Black and Jason Statham swing into action.

The film, the seventh in the series has had its title shortened to just “Furious 7.” But it yields no speed to the previous films.

The film is all about seeking revenge against Owen Shaw and his crew for the death of Han the brother of Ian Shaw (Statham). That puts a whole series of actions into motion that began at about 30,000 feet.

The clip opens with the Fast & Furious crew sitting in their cars in the dark. Everyone is primed to go when a pair of doors open and the cars roll out the back of a cargo plane.

They parachute in to a mountain road, and the chase is on for a luxury bus that’s armed to the teeth. Walker’s character, Brian O’Conner, is behind the wheel of blue hatchback.

After the team blow the back of the bus off, O’Conner is launched into the bus from the hood of Letty Ortiz’s (Rodriguez) nnorcar. He roughs up a couple of dudes inside before the bus careens on its side toward a cliff.

O’Connor climbs out the front of the bus and makes a desperate leap for Letty’s muscle car. He barely grabs the car’s rear spoiler as the bus tumbles off the cliff.

Walker wasn’t so lucky when the 610-hp Porsche supercar he was riding in came out of a sweeping right hand curve and began accelerating.

Walker was a passenger in the car, dirven by friend and business partner Paul Rodas, 38. Rodas apparently lost control for unknown reasons. The car skidded, jumped a curb, struck a light pole, crashed into two trees and burst into flames.

Walker and Rodas were killed instantly.

His brothers finished shooting his scenes.

The film hits theaters in April 2015. Check out the trailer below and be sure to follow IM on Twitter for updates.
