Bill Cosby’s stone wall of denials has crumbled even more following the latest woman to accuse him of drugging and raping her. Cindra Ladd related her tale this week and mirrored allegations made by nearly 30 other women.

Ladd is a former film industry executive and wife of producer Alan Ladd Jr., who has no ulterior motive for coming forward, except to tell the truth.

Ladd said she was 21 when she got to know Cosby through producer Ray Stark. She said they became friends and went to a movie together on evening, according to her account in the HuffingtonPost.

At the movie, Cosby offered her a pill that he said would help her with a headache. The night became a blur after that. The next thing she remembered was waking up nude in bed at a Cosby friend’s apartment.

Cosby was there wearing a white terrycloth bathrobe. “It was obvious to me that he had had sex with me. I was horrified, embarrassed and ashamed,” she said.

Because her memory of the evening was dim and she could not specifically recall what happened she refrained from going to authorities.

As she tells it:

For more than 45 years I have tried to recall exactly what happened that night. To this day it remains a blur. I have a vague recollection of feeling like I was floating while walking through Times Square and watching some kind of Japanese samurai movie with him. I don’t remember where the theater was nor very much of the evening. What I do recall, vividly and clearly, is waking up the next morning nude in the bed of his friend’s apartment and seeing Cosby wearing a white terrycloth bathrobe and acting as if there was nothing unusual. It was obvious to me that he had had sex with me. I was horrified, embarrassed and ashamed.”

She says Cosby’s stature as an entertainer and in an era before “date rape” was recognized as a crime kept her from calling the police. She told her husband about the incident nine years ago, when another woman accused Cosby of similar acts.

Nearly 30 women from all walks of life and backgrounds have come forward to tell eerily similar tales of being drugged and allegedly sexually molested by Cosby over the course of his five-decade career.

Now 77, the actor has denied all of the charges through his lawyer and refused to comment on any of the allegations. To some, his lawyer has implied ulterior motives, like shaking down the comedian for money.

But women like Ladd and former supermodel Beverly Johnson, who have absolutely nothing to gain, have been among those who have stepped forward. If some women are making up the charges–and there’s no evidence to suggest so–these two women certainly aren’t.

Most of the alleged assaults occurred so long ago, the statute of limitations has long expired. But in at least one case, the comedian may still be on the hook.

Chloe Goins, a model who claims as an 18-year-old that Bill Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted her at the Playboy mansion in Los Angeles, appeared at LAPD headquarters Jan. 14 to file a criminal complaint against the embattled comedian.

Other women have filed a lawsuit charging Cosby with defamation for calling them liars. They’re being represented by celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred.
