Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown was found unconscious today in her bathtub in her Georgia home, eerily similar to the way her mother died on the eve of the 2012 Grammy Awards, suggesting she staged an elaborate suicide attempt.

Brown was found by her husband Nick Gordon, Houston’s adopted son, at around 10:30 a.m. today (Jan. 31).

She reportedly was not breathing. Gordon administered CPR, and a friend called 9ll. She was rushed to the hospital where her breathing was re-established, according to local news reports.

Her current condition is unknown, but she is being held in the intensive care unit at North Fulton Hospital.

Bobbi Kristina, 21, the daughter of rapper Bobby Brown, began dating Gordon shortly after her mother’s shocking death, amid much controversy because of their brother-sister relationship. They married last year.

Whitney, 48, struggled with drugs and alcohol for years, including crack cocaine. She was under the influence of drugs when she passed out in her hotel room bathtub and drowned.

Bobbi Kristina was very close to her mother and was devastated by her death. Since then, she has struggled with personal problems and alleged drug and alcohol abuse.

The fact that the incident mimicked her mother’s death just short of the third anniversary of her passing suggests that Brown may have elaborately staged a suicide.

Her family has been fighting over her late-mother’s estate and at one point had to file a lawsuit to gain possession of her personal items. The family also tried to cash in on her fame by appearing in a short-lived reality series.

Bobbi and Nick were known in their neighborhood, a suburb of Atlanta for being hard-partiers, according to local reports.
