Chloe Sevigny, who epitomizes downtown New York City hipster cool, thinks actress Jennifer Lawrence is, well… uncool. Wait, she’s worse than that. She’s “annoying” and “crass.” Yikes what did Jen do to her!

Sevigny, 40, disses the Oscar winner for her brassy, California-style in a new interview in terminally hip V magazine.

Chloe, on the other hand, is all about minimalism and understatement. And, don’t even try to question her acting cred.

She gave actor and director Vincent Gallo a blow job (for real) in his catastrophe of a movie “Brown Bunny.” It was shocking for its time, when the film was released in 2003.

Lawrence has never gone that far on film, if you don’t count her private leaked videos that went viral on the Internet last year.

But Chloe is nothing, if not dedicated to her art. She eschews big hair, big egos and big Hollywood productions. She has a string of indie “art” films to her credit and starred in the HBO series “Big Love,” about a polygamist family.

The closest she’s come to mainstream film recently is a role in the 2013 picture “Lovelace,” starring Amanda Seyfried as ’70s porn legend Linda Lovelace. Chloe played a feminist journalist.

But she was nominated for an Oscar and Golden Globe for best supporting actress for “Boys Don’t Cry,” a 2000 film starring Hillary Swank. And, she won a Globe for best supporting actress for “Big Love.”

Needless to say, Hollywood is a turn off, and Lawrence, well, she’s the quintessential young Hollywood actress.

To Sevigny, commercialism is a turn off.

“So much is about marketing and selling the product. They’ll have a really peppy funny girl on the talk show rounds, and everybody adores her and loves her and wants to be her or f*ck her, and then so many more people want to watch the movie or TV show. I understand that star quality, how much value that carries.”

Jennifer is certainly all that and more. She’s loud, boisterous, outspoken, full-on and swears like a sailor. She emits enough sexual energy to light a small village. Plus, she can act.

To illustrate Hollywood class, Chloe points to Angelina Jolie, who is very cool.

“I love when a movie star is a great movie star. I think Angelina Jolie is a great movie star. I don’t think I can be that, or just be an actor. I don’t think I have the charisma. Which is probably why I never reached another level. I like Emma Stone. Whenever she’s herself, she’s really cute. Jennifer Lawrence I find annoying. Too crass.”

Ouch.

Chloe also recognizes her own limitations and is big enough to admit it worries her.

I’m afraid that maybe people think there’s more personality than acting ability. I would like to be respected more as an actress. It’s not like I can complain about anything. I think I’ve had great opportunities, but you can always have more.”

How cool is that?

Of course, Sevigny doesn’t have an Oscar. Lawrence won her first for Best Actress in “Silver Linings Playbook,” at 22, and has been nominated two more times.

If she could just be a little cooler about it.
