Rihanna has sampled a range of wild looks as a fashion icon and in the new issue of V magazine, she pulls off another transformation. She dons bright neon colors and an electric blonde wig in a tribute to the psychedelic ’60s. Although the ’60s probably never looked this hot.

The style maven has blazed her own path fashion-wise during her career as a singer.

She hasn’t hesitated to take things to the edge and push even more. Topless? No problem. She’s totally connected with her own sexuality.

She’s shared herself openly through photo shoots and even her own Instagram account, which she fuels with photos from all facets of her life. Given her profession, she’s finally come to grips with her lack of privacy.

“Do I even give a dick about that anymore?” the 27-year-old singer tells the magazine.

Rihanna pulled a rare feat when both her debut album, 2005’s Music of the Sun, and her sophomore album, A Girl Like Me, a year later hit the top ten on the album charts. She produced an unprecedented seven studio albums in seven years and toured extensively.

Her last album release was in 2013, but don’t think for a minute she took time off.

“The past two years are the hardest I’ve ever worked,” she says.

“I’ve been working on two albums, an animated film, shooting for multiple magazines, designing for Puma and Stance [socks], a new line of fragrances, a summer tour; I launched my first annual Diamond Ball at the end of last year, and I’ve also been developing several projects to be revealed in the near future,” she adds.

Oh… and she’s working on her eighth studio album.

“Dude, I’m in love with my interludes. This one called ‘James,’ joint is on constant repeat. It’s [the album] soulful and aggressive, whether it’s lyrically, musically, or just the tone of my voice.”
