Bruce Jenner’s long struggle with gender identity and his final transition to a woman as Caitlyn Jenner, is already yielding a multi-part reality documentary, which airs next month. But Caitlyn doesn’t plan to stop there. It’s only the beginning.

She plans to become a brand, just like Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, who have parlayed Kim’s sex tape notoriety into a multi-million dollar business empire.

Right off the bat, Caitlyn is now probably the most visible and best know transgender woman in the world. As such, she is natural spokesman for the transgender community.

In the final days leading up to his full transition, Bruce said he planned to be an advocate for transgenders to raise awareness and build acceptance for those like himself, so they won’t have to go through the struggle he went through.

Homosexuality is the last frontier of the civil rights movement. Gay men and women still face discrimination in many parts of the country and a large part of the world. But things are changing.

More men and women than ever are coming out, especially in Hollywood, as acceptance of gays and lesbians grows across the country, as evidence by the acceptance of gay marriages.

Perhaps the least understood among the LGBT community are transgenders.

As Caitlyn points out about herself, they aren’t necessarily gay, although they deeply identify as women. She says she still plans to date women and will eventually undergo transgender surgery to create a vagina. But says sex isn’t a priority.

Even so, Caitlyn says she’s felt she was a woman since she was a child. But never had the courage to come out. Several years ago she began the transition with hormon shots, she reveals in Vanity Fair.

She definitely will make herself available for television interviews and speaking engagements to talk about her experience. She is even open to doing an ongoing reality series about her life as a woman, our source says.

From a brand perspective, the transgender community is largely untapped. Bruce has always had a strong interest in women’s fashion, and would love to get involved in the fashion industry in some role, according to our source.

He also sees possibilities for accessories like shoes, jewelry and perfume.

Of course, she would be infringing on the Kardashian franchise, but she’s taken steps to make sure she’s distancing herself from their brand. She consciously chose not to use a “K” in her new name to create separation from them.

When Bruce transitioned to a woman, more than his sex changed. The world changed a little bit along with him. It’s his mission now to keep that momentum going.
